Dear Moon…

Look up. When the sun sets, Earth’s only natural satellite can be seen shining brightly in the distance. Its influence on gravity affects the ocean tides, length of day and axial tilt - all life depends on this angle of the Earth’s rotation to sustain. Powerful. Beautiful. Mystical. It’s easy to understand the reverence and ritual it has inspired in human history.

Well known traditions include the Hindu custom of fasting on the full moon day (Purnima) and the Jewish ritual of Kiddush Levana, or Sanctification of the Moon. Sprinkled throughout cultures and eras other rituals have been practiced and passed along through gatherings. Perhaps you have practiced or attended one of these yourself and experienced the energetic intensity of the Moon’s presence. Some guides below if you’d like to give it a try!

Until next time, namaste 🙏
